Kia Picanto car leasing is a great, economical option for a driver who prioritises compact, city driving.
As a small city car, the Kia Picanto offers five doors as standard, and you can choose between manual and automatic, and between three different petrol engines. The 66bhp 1.0 MPi will nip you around town without a problem, whilst the 83bhp 1.25 MPi reaches 70mph quickly and without effort (this, middle engine is also the only engine which offers the choice of manual or automatic gearbox). The top of the range is the 1.0-litre GDi 99bhp, with an added turbocharger, which is a responsive engine with excellent performance.
Relatively firm suspension controls any bounce along the lumps and bumps of a country road, and also allows the model real agility in corners when judged in comparison to its rivals. The Picanto’s agility is heightened by the way its steering becomes feather-light at low speeds, which allows easy parking and navigating of city traffic.
Driving is comfortable as well as easy, as the seat is supportive, bolstering you from the side too to ensure stability around corners. Well-aligned pedals and height adjustment to the driver’s seat, on all but the entry-level trim, ensure extra driving comfort. The dash meanwhile offers a simple, well-placed layout which makes it easy to use on the move.
Competitors include the Aygo by Toyota, an agile city car which is a sibling car to the Citroen C1 and the Peugeot 108, as they’re built in the same factory, and share a chassis and engine - but the Aygo showcases its own distinct design and aesthetic.
