When you agree to a vehicle leasing contract, you are committing to pay an initial up front rental followed by regular monthly rentals for a pre-determined period. Your contract will be arranged with one of our panel of leasing providers / finance companies, and they have a duty to ensure affordability and that you are able to keep up with the agreed financial commitment without causing any undue hardship for you.
Part of this formal underwriting process is for the specific funder to carry out various checks, including a hard credit search. This will involve a formal application being sent to them with your personal details including name, address, date of birth, employment details, income and expenditure, bank details etc. They will then approve or decline the application based on your financial history and how well you have managed debt in the past.
However, many financial institutions operate with different underwriting criteria for credit approvals. Our online credit eligibility checker gives a probability score of approval for a selection of different funding partners. This will enable us to tailor make your finance quotation with the best provider to suit your personal circumstances, prior to submitting the formal application to the leasing company.
What’s more, the Rivervale Eligibility Checker will only register a “soft search” on your credit file via Experian. This means that the search is only visible to you, and no outside parties.
